Welcome to AviationNation, an organization dedicated to engaging youth and building teams to construct planes. Starting with a kit and some hand tools, high school students learn how to put in their first rivet, advancing all the way to installing the navigation panel and obtaining an FAA certification for the plane. They don't just celebrate by watching the plane take its first flight but by soaring through the sky in a plane they built with their own hands.
